District Homepage - Greenburgh- Graham UFSD It is with great pleasure that I welcome back our students, teachers, and staff to the 2. I am honored to have been named the Acting Superintendent of the Greenburgh Graham UFSD. Our mission is, and always has been, to ensure that our students receive the education and services necessary for them to advance into society as adults with a clear focus, a sense of confidence to pursue their dreams and a purpose that will continue to cultivate as they advance in their career. I am amazed every day as I watch our students grow academically and socially, as I listen to their success stories and how hard they strive to make today just a little bit better than yesterday. Struggles are a part of our everyday lives and we encourage our students to embrace these obstacles by giving them the tools they need to manage difficult situations. We have the power to make a positive impact on the lives of our students every day. It is up to us to use this influence to remove barriers, support students in their challenges, and give them access to the knowledge and information that will enable them to reach their full potential. Our teachers, staff, and administrators have been working diligently in preparation for the new school year to ensure that we meet the developmental needs of our students in order for them to begin to form the basis of ideas and actions that will give them the opportunity to be an integral part of our society. Some of the programs that we are integrating into our curriculum include an enormous donation from Hewlett Packard that will advance our District’s technology initiatives and will enhance our instructional program to ensure college and career technology- readiness for our students. We continue to advance our “Every Student Every Day” program which emphasizes the benefits of students attending school every day. This year we added attendance initiative that will provide parents and guardians the support they need to ensure that their child/children benefit daily from a curriculum that is designed to enhance their academic achievements. I truly believe the collaborative efforts of our teachers, staff, and parents/guardians along with the partnerships we have forged with our community will give our children the tools they need to reach their full potential. On behalf of the School Board, we wish the entire Greenburgh Graham family an exciting and successful school year. Sincerely,Oliver B.
